The VII Workshop on Computational Data Analysis and Numerical Methods (WCDANM)

will be held online (video conference) in September 10-12, 2020.

The event is hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (PIT), Tomar, Portugal.  

The VII WCDANM | 2020 is a unique opportunity to disseminate scientific research related to the areas of Mathematics and Statistics in general, with particular relevance in Computational Data Analysis and Numerical Methods in theoretical and/or practical field, using new techniques. Special emphasis is given to applications in Medicine, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering, Industry, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Insurance, Management and Administration. The meeting will provide a forum for discussion and debate of ideas with interest to the scientific community in general. New scientific collaborations among colleagues, namely new collaborations in Masters and PhD projects are expected. The event is open to the entire scientific community (with or without communication/poster).

Since 2018, the Journal of Applied Statistics - JAS (Taylor & Francis) and Neural Computing & Applications (Springer) have been associated with WCDANM and authors can submit papers for publication in these scientific journals. Participants in the VII WCDANM | 2020 can submit manuscripts to the JAS special issue with the title: "Statistical perspectives on Analytics for COVID-19 data", available here.

In 2020, the VII WCDANM executive committee will try to maintain the scientific quality of the meetings held in previous editions and expects that in 2021 the VIII WCDANM will take place at the PIT campus, very close to the Templar city of Tomar.
